Rupert is a senior advisor to PIMCO's UK portfolio management team. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2025, he spent nine years at BlackRock, where he was a portfolio manager and Head of Research for the Multi-Asset Strategies group. He previously served as Chief of Staff to Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and chaired the UK Council of Economic Advisers. Rupert holds a PhD in economics, and his academic research has been published in the American Economic Review and the Economic Journal.
